1. Delete your account in the app
Sign in and go to Me → Account & privacy → Delete my account. Follow the identity-confirmation instructions, enter DELETE when prompted and choose Permanently delete account. Depending on your sign-in method, you may need your current password or an authorised confirmation step. A restricted account may provide a separate Account privacy route. If you cannot sign in, use the email option below.
2. What happens to your information
Account deletion stops access and begins removal of your active profile, profile photographs, optional details, Introductions, connections, service-held conversations and associated media. In the existing conversation model, deletion also affects the shared conversation copy accessible to the other member. Photo variants, media storage and backups can require asynchronous cleanup. We will explain completion if additional time is needed.
Deleting the app, signing out, hiding your profile or cancelling a subscription does not delete your PersuAsian account. Nor can we remove copies another participant independently saved elsewhere or encrypted material retained on devices outside our control.
3. What may be kept for limited reasons
A narrowly restricted amount of fraud/security activity, legally required transaction data and report evidence may remain where necessary to meet law, investigate serious safety issues, resolve disputes or comply with a lawful preservation request. A participant may have knowingly submitted selected conversation evidence for a safety report, including from a chat marked end-to-end encrypted. Retained evidence is not a discoverable member profile.
Operational logs, backups and pending cleanup records follow their applicable retention and expiry processes. See the Privacy Policy for the criteria and your rights.
4. Can’t access the app?
You can request deletion without reinstalling the app: email privacy@persuasian.co.uk from the address associated with your PersuAsian account, with the subject Account deletion request. We may need to verify you own the account before proceeding. Never send a password, security code, identity document or private message unless we give you a secure, necessary, proportionate route for it.
We will acknowledge and handle requests under applicable data protection requirements. If you have broader concerns about stored information, contact the same address.
5. Remember any store subscription
Deleting your PersuAsian account does not automatically cancel a separate Apple or Google subscription. If you subscribed, cancel renewal through the relevant store account settings and review its refund terms. See our Terms of Service.
